Boneless chicken -500gms
Turmeric -1/2 tsp
Salt to tatse
For the tempering
Fennel seeds-1/4 tsp
Curry leaves-1 sprig
For the grinding:
Ginger small size – 1
Garlic cloves -6
Curry Leaves- 2 Sprig
- Heat oil in a pan, add cinnamon, cloves,fennel seeds and cumin seeds.
- Once they spluttered add chopped onions and green chillies, sauté it.
- Add chicken pieces , turmeric, salt and mix it well.
- Sprinkle water, cover it and cook for 20 mins in a medium flame.
- Add freshly ground ginger, garlic, curry leaves, cumin, peppercorns and mix it well.
- Cook it for 10 mins in medium flame uncovered .
- Add cooked rice and sprinkle sesame oil and mix it well.
- When its done add lemon juice, garnish it with coriander leaves.
- Serve it hot with raita, pickle and papad.
