Tomato Thuvayal- Tomato Thokku

tomato thokku


Ingredients:

 Tomatoes-250gms

Red chillies-4

Garlic cloves-2

Tamarind-lemon size

Ginger-1 inch

Coriander leaves-1 sprig

Salt

For the tadka:

Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp

Urad dal-1/2 tsp

Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp

Chana dal-1 tsp

Curry leaves


Preparation method

  1. Heat oil in pan, add the ingredients and sauté it.
  2. Once it done, add it to blender, add salt and make a fine paste.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add tempering spices.
  4. Once they splutter, add the ground paste and cook it till the oil floats on top.
  5. Serve it with rice or roti.

Coriander leaves-1 bunch

Red chillies-4

Tamarind-aamla size

Salt to taste

 

For the Tadka:

Mustard-1/2 tsp

Urad dal-1/2 tsp

Curry leaves-2 spring

Oil


Preparation method:

  1. Take coriander leaves, tamarind, red chillies, and salt.
  2. Add it to a blender and make a fine paste by adding water.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, urad dal, curry leaves
  4. Once they splutter add it to the chutney and whip it For the 1 min.
  5. Serve it with hot idly or dosa.

  1. Take coconut pieces, roasted gram, green chillies, garlic and salt.
  2. Add it to a blender and make a fine paste by adding water.
  3. Serve it with hot idly or dosa.

Plantain stem-250 gms

Roasted Gram-100gms

Green chillies-4

Garlic-2(optional)

Salt to taste

 

For the Tadka:

Mustard-1/2 tsp

Urad dal-1/2 tsp

  2. Take coconut pieces, plantain stem roasted gram, green chillies, garlic and salt.
  3. Add it to a blender and make a fine paste by adding water.
