Lemon Rasam

Ingredients

Dal water-1 cup

Tomatoes-2

Green chillies-3

Turmeric-1/2 tsp

Salt to taste

Coriander leaves

Lemon-2

Oil

For the Tadka:

Mustard-1/2 tsp

Red chillies-2

Curry leaves-1 spring

Hing

DD spices

 For the DD spices:

Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp

Pepper-1/2 tsp


Preparation method:

  1. Heat pan and add coriander leaves, chopped tomatoes, green chilies, salt, turmeric, and dal water.
  2. Boil it for the 15 mins. Simmer it for last 8 mins.
  3. Crush fresh pepper and cumin in DD
  4. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, curry leaves, red chillies, hing, add DD spices.
  5. Once they splutter, add tadka to the rasam, simmer it for 2 min.
  6. Add lemon juice and switch off the flame.
  7. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
  8. Serve it hot.

Note: No tamarind, No Garlic. Fresh pepper and cumin.

Ingredients

Dal water-1 cup

Tomato puree-1/2 cup

Tumeric-1/2 tsp

Green chillies-2

Salt to taste

For the grinding

Red chillies-2

Coriander seeds-4 tsp

Chana dal-1/2 tsp

Pepper-1 tsp

Cumin-1/2 tsp

Urad dal-1/2 tsp

Curry leaves-1 spring

Coriander leaves-1 bunch

 For the tadka/tempering

Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp

Curry leaves-1 spring

Hing-2 pinch

Cumin seeds-1/4 tsp

Coriander leaves

ghee


Preparation method

  1. Heat the pan, add green chillies, tomato puree, dal water, turmeric and salt.
  2. Boil it For the 12 mins
  3. Dry roast the grinding spices for  2 mins.
  4. Add it to the blender with fresh coriander leaves, sprinkle water and prepare coarse paste.
  5. Add the coarse paste to the rasam.
  6. Heat ghee in a pan, add mustard, hing, curry leaves, cumin and coriander leaves.
  7. Once they splutter, add it to the rasam.
  8. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
  9. Serve it hot.

For the Tadka:

For the DD spices:

Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp

Pepper-1/2 tsp


 

Preparation method:

Heat pan and add coriander leaves, chopped tomatoes, green chilies, salt, turmeric, and dal water.  Boil it For the 15 mins. Simmer it For the last 8 mins.

Crush fresh pepper and cumin in DD

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, curry leaves, red chillies, hing, add DD spices.

Once they splutter, add tadka to the rasam, simmer it For the 2 min.

Add Orange juice and switch off the flame.

Garnish it with coriander leaves.

Serve it hot.

 

Note: No tamarind, No Garlic. Fresh pepper and cumin.

Tamarind juice-1/4 cup

Tomato-2 medium

Green chillies-1

Turmeric-1/2 tsp

Salt to taste

Coriander leaves and stem

 

 

For the Tadka:

Mustard-1/2 tsp

Red chillies-2

Curry leaves-1 spring

Hing-2 pinch

Ghee

 

For the DD spices:

Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp

Pepper-1/2 tsp

Garlic cloves-4

Coriander leaves-1/2 bunch

Green chilli-1


Preparation method:

Heat pan and add chopped tomato, tamarind juice, salt, turmeric, rasam powder, cooked dal and dal water.

Boil it For the 15 mins. Simmer it For the last 8 mins.

Crush the ingredients in DD, add it to the rasam.

Heat ghee in a pan, add mustard, curry leaves, red chillies, and hing.

Once they splutter, add tadka to the rasam, simmer it For the 2 min.

Garnish it with coriander leaves.

Serve it hot.

For the Tadka:

Mustard-1/2 tsp

Red chillies-2

Curry leaves-1 spring

Hing-2 pinch

Ghee

 

For the DD spices:

Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp

Pepper-1/2 tsp

Garlic cloves-4

Coriander leaves-1/2 bunch

Green chilli-1

Ingredients:

Dal water-1 cup

Tamarind juice-1/2 cup

Tomato puree-1 cup

Tumeric-1/2 tsp

Green chillies-2

Salt to taste

 

For the grinding:

Red chillies-4

Coriander seeds-2 tsp

Chana dal-1 tsp

Pepper-1 tsp

Cumin-1 tsp

Urad dal-1 tsp

Curry leaves-1 spring

Grated coconut-3 tsp

 

For the tadka/tempering:

Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp

Curry leaves-1 spring

Hing-2 pinch

Cumin seeds-1/4 tsp

ghee


Preparation method:

 

Dry roast the grinding spices For the 2 mins.

Add it to the blender and prepare coarse powder

Heat the pan, add green chillies, tomato puree, tamarind juice, dal water, turmeric and salt

Boil it For the 10 mins

Add the coarse powder to the rasam

Heat ghee in a pan, add mustard, hing, curry leaves, cumin.

Once they splutter, add it to the rasam.

Garnish it with coriander leaves.

Serve it hot.

Ingredients:

Crushed Tomato -1 cup

Dal Water-1 cup

Coriander leaves

Turmeric-1/4 tsp

Hing-1 pinch

Salt to taste

Oil

 

For the tempering/tadka

Mustard-1/4 tsp

Red chillies-2

Green chilies-2

Curry leaves

 

For the DD Spices:

Garlic-4

Pepper-2 tsp

Cumin-2 tsp

Coriander leaves


Preparation method:

Heat oil in a pan, add tempering ingredients.

Once they splutter, add tamarind juice, dal water, turmeric, hing and salt

Simmer and boil For the 5 mins

Dry roast cumin and pepper For the 1 min

Add chopped garlic, roasted cumin,pepper and coriander leaves in DD.

Crush it and add it to the rasam.

Simmer it For the 2 min.

Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves.

Serve it hot.

 

Note: Dry Roasted cumin, pepper should be use.

For the Tadka:

For the DD spices:

Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp

Pepper-1/2 tsp

 

For the grinding:

Garlic cloves – 6

Curry leaves-1 spring

Green chili-1

Coriander leaves


Preparation method:

Heat pan and add coriander leaves, green chilies, salt, turmeric, and dal water.

Boil it For the 15 mins. Simmer it For the last 8 mins.

Grind coarsely fresh garlic, curry leaves, coriander leaves and green chilly.

Add the paste to the rasam.

Crush fresh pepper and cumin in DD

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, curry leaves, red chillies, hing, add DD spices.

Once they splutter, add tadka to the rasam, simmer it For the 2 min.

Add lemon juice and switch off the flame.

Garnish it with coriander leaves.

Serve it hot.
